To identify problems in the spacecraft position, a constraint checking tool can be used to plot various quantities versus time and mark bad data values, for example see Tom Jarrett's "timeline" program.

To study the success of the final product, the extracted source positions can be plotted on the image, and the flux and areal densities can be plotted. See Tom Jarrett's "qa_wire" program.
