WIRE Handbook: Chapter 7: Data Reduction Pipeline

WIRE Science Operations Center Data Analysis System:
Here is a high level document regarding DA operations at the SOC: socops-1.html .
Analyzing Data with the Web Data Reports:
Here are the basic steps for analyzing the data for a single segment using the "WireObs" HTML segment table: steps_for_DA .
Running the WIRE data reduction pipeline:
Here is a very brief syntax for running pipeseg and pipemseg: pipeseg-doc .
WIRE filenaming conventions
A short document describing how raw image data and pipeline products are named is here .
WIRE Source Extraction
Here is documentation on using the WIRE source extractor .

Here is the DAOPHOT II User's Manual by Peter Stetson (21 January 1998): daophotman.ps . A description of the columns in the single band source list (after running "alstable" conversion) is here .

WIRE Source Band-Merging
Once the extracted point source tables are created by the source extractor (wdaophot) for both the 12 micron and 25 micron bands, the sources are merged into a single table by the bandmerger program called wiremerge.
Miscellaneous Documentation

The data reduction pipeline consists of all the programs and scripts which convert the raw telemetry data to band-merged extracted point source tables and co-added images.

After the raw telemetry data files have been received at the IPAC SOC...

The images within a single segment are stacked...
